Cooperating with WorkCover Queensland and treating medical practitioners.
Providing suitable duties where possible during recovery.
Treating all injury information as confidential.
Identify suitable duties that match the worker's capacity.
Set goals and timeframes for returning to full duties.
Be reviewed regularly and adjusted as recovery progresses.
Purpose
To support injured workers to return to safe, suitable work as soon as possible after a work-related injury or illness, in compliance with WorkCover Queensland requirements.
Scope

Procedure
Immediately After an Injury
Step 1: Provide first aid. Call 000 if required. Step 2: Report the injury to your supervisor immediately. Step 3: Complete the Incident/Accident Report Form (FORM-002). Step 4: Seek medical treatment. If a work-related injury, you may be entitled to WorkCover Queensland compensation.WorkCover Queensland Claim
- Obtain a Workers' Compensation Medical Certificate from your treating doctor.
- Lodge a claim with WorkCover Queensland: 1300 362 128 or workcover.qld.gov.au.
- Notify your supervisor/manager that a claim has been lodged.
Return to Work Plan
